Yes, when you create an outcome, it gives you the option of selecting the "averaging" method

If you import the outcomes to your rubric and attached to assignment, your student will see it

Why should we disable criterion for scoring?

If you don't want it to mess with your final number grade

Unfortunately no. The grader will need to explicitly use it while grading

It is not too much overhead though.

It is an option available if you want to show HP/LP/NP in the gradebook
