Join us in hearing from select authors from the forthcoming WRITE Center book on Writing Instruction Across the Disciplines: Evidence-Based Practices in Grades 6-12. Our distinguished speakers will share strategies from their chapters that will help support teachers help their students to develop and build their writing skills. Our first webinar, in this three part series, will start on: Tuesday, June 25th (10 - 11:30am Pacific Standard Time) with Kim Parker and Tricia Ebarvia on Culturally Sustaining Writing Practices. There will not be a meeting on July 2. We will then resume the series on: Tuesday, July 9th (10 - 11:30am Pacific Standard Time) with Carol Lee on Teaching Argument Writing in the ELA Classroom: Diversity as Resource. We will finish the series on: Tuesday, July 16th (10 - 11:30am Pacific Standard Time) with Mark Warschauer and Tamara Tate on Leveraging Generative AI to Improve Secondary Writing Instruction.
