Dr. Dominik Wodarz
Professor, Program in Public Health @UC Irvine
Dr. Dominik Wodarz is a Professor for the UCI Program in Public Health. His research interests include mathematical / computational models of biomedical processes, applied to problems in cancer, virology & immunology. Through close collaborations with experimental and clinical laboratories, these models can be applied to data to (i) estimate crucial parameters, (ii) make testable predictions, and (iii) interpret experimental or clinical data. These mathematical modeling approaches are based on evolutionary and ecological principles and are related to the general field of population dynamics. Dr. Wodarz received his BS in Biology from Imperial College, London and Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Oxford.
